Handwoven Bolga Baskets

Woven in the Bolgatanga region of Ghana, these traditional baskets use the abundant elephant grasses that grow in the region. No two are exactly alike, and colors and patterns range from totally neutral to wildly, boldly colored.

This stock is constantly changing, and will be updated as new baskets come in. Photos represent the exact basket you will receive.

Small round baskets measure 9-11" across

Medium U-shaped baskets measure 13/14"W x 9-10"H
Large U-shaped baskets measure 17-19"W x 12-14"H

Baskets are shipped open and shaped. Due to the size of the baskets, they may incur higher shipping rates despite lower weights. If you would like me to crush your basket to make it smaller to reduce shipping, please put a note at check out and I will refund the difference in shipping. Baskets easily re-shape with a little water and some elbow grease.
