Collection: Batts

Batts created by hand in small batches. These are most often single breed fibers, and do not contain visible locks, sparkle, or other "art" features. Sometimes pulled into strips, but generally offered in batt form. Batts can easily be separated into smaller strips for spinning. Batts are also good for wet and needle felting, and can be used to create wool felt sheets.

  • A Wool For All Things

Not all wool is appropriate for all projects. Fine wools like merino are great for sweaters, but sturdy longwools like Lincoln are great for rugs. Knowing the difference can make all the difference.

  • Good Shepherds

"Aoire Maith" translates to "Good Shepherd" In Irish.

We believe in the good men and women who spend their time and love shepherding their flocks. We believe in the sustainability of wool, alpaca and other fiber producing animals. We believe it is important to support these good shepherds.
