Collection: Hand Dyed Yarns

Hand dyed by the artist in small batches. Each time we go into the dye studio, what comes out rarely ever comes out again. All yarns are hand painted, kettle dyed, and solar dyed in pickle jars. If you like a skein, buy enough for your project as all batches are unique. Yarns listed here are likely sourced from other vendors (small farms unless noted) and hand dyed by me. Handspun yarns are listed elsewhere.

  • A Wool For All Things

Not all wool is appropriate for all projects. Fine wools like merino are great for sweaters, but sturdy longwools like Lincoln are great for rugs. Knowing the difference can make all the difference.

  • Good Shepherds

"Aoire Maith" translates to "Good Shepherd" In Irish.

We believe in the good men and women who spend their time and love shepherding their flocks. We believe in the sustainability of wool, alpaca and other fiber producing animals. We believe it is important to support these good shepherds.
