Embroidered Sari Yarn

Beautiful, shiny, iconic, one of a kind color and unbelievably fun.

These "yarns" are made from recycled saris - the heavily embroidered edges, full of shiny gold and silver threads, in beautifully fun designs - cut and sewn together into long strips.

Each hank is wildly different. As this is recycled fabric, there may be inconsistences, tears, holes, etc in the fabric. When you pick a specific hank in this listing, you will receive the exact hank you chose. Yardage varies from 27-30yds per hank, and each hank weighs ~100g

PLEASE NOTE THAT ACCEPTED DYEING PRACTICES IN INDIA INVOLVE HEAVY SATURATION OF DYE MATERIALS, AND THIS DYE IS NOT ALWAYS SET, POTENTIALLY CAUSING THE FABRIC TO BLEED COLOR WHEN WASHED. THE HOTTER YOUR WATER, THE MORE IT MAY BLEED. THE ADDITION OF SOAP MAY ALSO CAUSE MORE BLEEDING.
