Embellished Sari Yarn

Beautiful, shiny, iconic, one of a kind color and unbelievably fun.

These "yarns" are made from recycled saris - the heavily embellished bits, full of beads and paillets and gorgeous shiny fabrics, in beautifully fun designs - cut and sewn together into long strips.

Each hank is wildly different. Some parts of the fabric is very heavily embellished, some is not - see photo 3/slide 5 for a detailed photograph showing this. As this is recycled fabric, there may be inconsistences, tears, holes, etc in the fabric. When you pick a specific hank in this listing, you will receive the exact hank you chose. ~100g per hank. Yardage ranges from 32-38 yds per hank.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ACCEPTED DYEING PRACTICES IN INDIA INVOLVE HEAVY SATURATION OF DYE MATERIALS, AND THIS DYE IS NOT ALWAYS SET, POTENTIALLY CAUSING THE FABRIC TO BLEED COLOR WHEN WASHED. THE HOTTER YOUR WATER, THE MORE IT MAY BLEED. THE ADDITION OF SOAP MAY ALSO CAUSE MORE BLEEDING.
