Bow Wow Gorge Art Batt
Bow Wow Gorge Art Batt

I have been reading lots of books lately that are set in Australia, often with a historical bent, and they talk about the colonization of these regions. One such book took place in an area of New South Wales smack in the middle of the Bow Wow Creek Gorge. I did not look up photos of the region until after finishing the book, but in my mind, it was a rocky place reminiscent of the American Rockies, and something about the luscious dark chocolate of these Border Leicester locks blended with the deep pinks and whites of the Lincoln locks put me in mind of this mental photo. I looked up photos later, and my imagining was waaaay off! But still, a fun story. Also, you should look up the gorge, it is lovely!
Bow Wow Gorge Art Batt
These 2.0 oz batts are less smooth than some, with the Lincoln locks adding texture if you choose. You will be able to spin these as smooth or as funky as you would like.
Comprised of 50% Border Leicester wool and 50% Lincoln longwool. Both fleece had very long locks, over 5", so keep that in mind when spinning. Stunning bright purple and teal, with a hint of peach, all on a black background. Yum.
And the standard "color" disclaimer...: I do my best to take and post accurate pictures but please keep in mind that colors vary slightly from monitor to monitor and it may look a little different in person. If you are uncertain about the color, please send me a message requesting more photos.

Lady-led and running. We back the gals (lots of our good shepherds are actually shepherdesses), and are proud to take our place in the sisterhood of fiber that stretches back to the ancient world.
